Kimberly Ballinger, Doula

About Me

My name is Kim Ballinger. I have lived in the Grand Rapids area for 10 years. I went to college at Grand Valley University and graduated in 2015 with a bachelors in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I have been married to my partner Ryan for 6 years and have two children. I am currently working on my postpartum doula certification from DONA.

Motherwort Doula Services currently specializes in postpartum doula work. I work with new parents and their newborns during the fourth trimester (newborn-12 weeks). My main objective is to take care of the mother or birthing person so they can take care of their new baby. I work with first time parents, but also the more seasoned parents. My goal is to give new parents the tools and support to be able to confidently take care of their newborn when I am no longer working in their home.
